Reward offered for stolen
Manorbier Community Association Records.

Western Telegraph reports on its website that a robbery has been carried out at the Skrinkle Community Centre in Manorbier and that association files and records have been stolen.

Community Association chairperson ex-police Sergeant Howard Lloyd is reported as saying "A private individual has put up a reward in a bid to trace not only whoever has taken the documents but also anyone who handles them". There are no reports as to the sum being offered for the safe return of the documentation or who has offered the reward.

It is reported that there was "no sign of a forcible break in" at the hall but that although the actual value of the property stolen was small, the cost to the whole of the Manorbier District could be "incalculable".

Website Comments

There have been several burglaries reported in the Manorbier and Lydstep area over the Christmas and New Year Period both in commercial and residential properties. This is the first time this website is aware that a reward has been offered after a robbery for the return of documents that ex police Sergeant Mr Lloyd described as being "of incalculable value to the community". At one time Manorbier Community Council documents were located at the Skrinkle Community Centre.
