Notes on the Community Council Meeting of 11th June 2002.
1. The Community Council rejects the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park proposal to take away the footbridge across the stream on the beach and replace it with stepping stones. Cllr. Calver suggested widening the existing
bridge as stepping stones would be dangerous especially for the older generation. The Council was informed by a member that the bridge had sunk into the ground.
Perhaps residents could provide information and views on this.
2. National Park Planning Committee rejects the Manorbier Community Council decision to support the change of use at Black Park.
An investigation of the files at the National Park Headquarters record NO COMMENTS from the Manorbier Community Council when the planning application was submitted to the Planning Committee.
3. A meeting will take place in the Village Hall after no invitation was received by the Manorbier Community Council to attend a seminar held in Haverfordwest for Community Councillors.
4. A meeting between Manorbier Community Councillors, and invited members of the community, with the Manorbier Army Range will be taking place on Saturday 29th June 2002. The reason for the visit is to discuss the workings of the ranges and members of the community have been invited to attend after a Community Council meeting when members of the public critised the amount of low flying that had taken place. At that meeting Major Warburton agreed it was possible for invited members of the community to accompany Community Councillors.
