Major priority - Community Hall for Jameston.
1. by restoring and adding to the Jameston Mission Room.
2. Reduction in traffic speeds by traffic calming measures such as a "gateway effect" into the village and a 40 mph limit from before the Slough.
Provision of some form of safe foot path to the School.
4. The planting of some more trees in the village.

Targeting of Skrinkle Estate for regeneration funding, and
1. Indestructible letter bins for the play areas. 2. Completion of the landscaping of the grassed area on the edge of the road, on the site of the short lived stone Pembrokeshire bank, Some sort of hedge should be considered in order to screen the houses from the road and also hopefully provide a more attractive child safety barrier.
3. More litter bins, particularly in areas where people congregate such as bus stops.
4. an initiative to encourage households to dispose of rubbish. The reintroduction of a scheme to dispose of bulk rubbish should be considered.

Lydstep Community Association

3. General tidy up of hedgerows/verges at both entrances to Lydstep Village, bulbs and plants to let people know they are entering a village and try to slow down the traffic.
4. Mini development area in centre of village to restore old reading rooms to community centre replacing the old eyesore sheds.
5. Flagpole with Welsh Flag.
6. At both ends of Lydstep are ponds, which are spring fed, enhancement scheme to make these a feature.
7. Enhancement of old stone walls at both entrances to village and down back lane to Lydstep Headland.
8. Growing Christmas tree with coloured lights, and installation for electricity.
9. Planning for new houses, to encourage youth to the village.
10. Skips twice a year.

Manorbier & District Gardening Club

1. Additional planting on the verges within the Council area, particularly spring bulbs. ( You will recall that the Club carried out some planting last year, with the assistance of the Council and SPARC.)
2. The problem of car parking at the Village Hall would be eased by the provision of parking in part of the area currently laid out as a garden adjacent to the Castle entrance. The scheme could retain part of the garden area with seating, although it is little used.
3. The "Newsletter" be upgraded and published on a quarterly basis four times per year.

Manorbier Newton Community Association

1. Daffodils, the daffodils contributed by the council on previous years really enhanced the village, therefore it is felt that this should be reinstated, this autumn.
2. Culverts at Newton Lodge farm railway crossing, need some urgent attention, so as to prevent the culverts acting as a dam. Also it requires a vast improvement the general workmanship on which has become a village 'eyesore'.
3. Skips, reinstate the supply of the twice yearly skips that the council have on previous years provided.
4. Mains Drainage, install Manorbier Newton onto the main drainage system.
5. Bus Service, route the current bus service, Pembroke/Tenby through Manorbier Newton.
6. Railway Platform, install a platform for access/agress to the rail network.
7. Wheelie Bins, supply every household with 'Wheelie Bins', to control the current plastic bag scavenging by foxes etc.
8. Re-cycle Bins, supply every household with a means to segregate and re-cycle waste.
9. Traffic Calming, control the speed of traffic within the village.
10. Stream, restore the streams walls/banks to there original condition, along its entire length. The County Council to maintain the streams condition yearly.
11. Road Surface Water, At Black Bridge, Summerhill Lane and Gwyns Hill, this problem to be addressed, but emphasis must be on what the 'knock-on' effect of the diverted water will be, i.e. where will the water end up.

1. The old garage area landscaped with trees and grassed over and benches placed there for people to sit and chat etc.
2. An extension to the large play area e.g. skateboard areas for the teenagers as the existing parks do not offer any recreational facilities for children over 11 years of age.

Manorbier Fishpond Restoration Group
September 2001
1. The Group is very concerned about the increase in Japanese Knotweed in the area particularly around the old mill and stream. The Group understands that, subject to the owner's consent, the County Council can undertake a programme of eradication and would be grateful for support and consider the County Council should carry out this work as soon as possible.
