Manorbier Community Council Meeting, Tuesday 1st November 2005
The scheduled November meeting of the Council was a well attended event with more public attending than councillors.
Consisting of some 23 Agenda items all of these topics failed to be discussed let alone be acted upon.
The correspondence item was to have covered the months of July, August, September and October. With another failure to deal with correspondences the next scheduled meeting in December could have the November items add to that ever expanding agenda item.
Members of the public were expecting to ask questions and probe the Council on a range of issues ranging from some remarks made at earlier meetings and also the Radio Pembrokeshire news item of the 22nd of October given by the Chairman about night firing at the Manorbier Range and his reported lack of communication with the Council by the Army and the National Park on this important issue.
The councillors who did attend were only able to offer commiseration's for their fellow none attending colleagues who due to sickness and other conflicting pressures just could not make it to the meeting.
However, we are very pleased to report that the widespread malaise that confined them to e-mail excuses has had little or no lasting effects. Indeed such was the speed of some of the recoveries that some were able share their convalesces together the very next day and probably also enjoy one of their own 'elite' meetings. No doubt a strategy was being planned for both a full restoration to their previous state and to their 'collective adhesion' policies.
Meanwhile "Joe Public" will just have wait some time longer....... and the same for planning matters and correspondences also.
So watch this space to see if they can resolve the correspondence issues this YEAR.
Happy Christmas
