Manorbier & District Community Association Instruct Solicitors to Act

The Manorbier Community Council has received a letter from the Secretary of the Manorbier & District Community Association informing them that the Association is engaging solicitors to act on its behalf in seeking compensation for loss of income to the Skrinkle Community Centre.

The Community Association accuse the Council of failing to carry out its obligations for maintenance and repairs to the building and exploring the possibility of the lease for the building being disposed of to the Youth Hostel Association.

The Community Association claim that the Councils actions had resulted in their main user seeking an alternative venue which has undermined their financial position. The Community Association would therefore be seeking compensation from the Community Council for the loss of income and any costs associatted with pursuing the matter.

The letter ended with advice that the Community Association would be forwarding the name of solicitors who would be dealing with this matter.
